Overview
FlowEngine digitises the internal memo: staff raise a memo, it travels through a defined chain of approvers such as Unit Head, Director and Director-General, and every decision is recorded.
The problem
Paper memos get lost between offices, approval status is invisible, and there is no reliable record of who decided what and when.
Solution & implementation
Administrators define reusable approval routes that are copied onto each memo at submission. Approvers approve, return or reject with reasons; returned memos are resubmitted under the same reference; separation-of-duties rules and a read-only auditor role protect the process.
Key capabilities
- Reusable approval routes, snapshotted onto each memo
- Approve, return or reject at each step, with mandatory reasons
- Resubmission that keeps the memo's reference
- Automatic references, e.g. FE/2026/00042
- Separation of duties and a read-only auditor role
- Audit trail of every action
- Dashboard of pending, overdue and closed items with average approval time
